expertise. For example improvements to the web to include self service and interactive
elements such as;
� a student funding calculator
� online booking and enrolment for some courses
� online application and enrolment
� online booking of evening and weekend programmes
� interactive induction
• A centralised admissions service offering a simple and easy to use application process and
providing key management information on applicant profiling, trends and equality/diversity
monitoring.
• A centralised student funding service linked to admissions to maximise student funding
resources and which is student centred to ensure that those who need it are getting
financial support.
• Greater recognition from employers of graduates of a larger institution which may increase
employment opportunities. There may also be an increased potential for work experience
and placement opportunities from employers.
• Potential for attracting well qualified/experienced staff.
• Greater networking opportunities.
