new facilities - and the implementation of a suitable programme for capital
replacement;
• The attitude and ethos of the colleges towards engaging with employers, and the
mechanisms through which this occurs;
• The attitude and approach of the colleges towards engaging with schools, the
community colleges, universities, vulnerable learners and communities.
7.19 It is critical that, in taking forward the NCG proposals, the colleges maintain a focus
on what the proposals mean for learners, and ensure that a focus on the learner is not lost to
debates around infrastructure and governance. Ultimately, with enthusiastic staff, shared
values and a common culture, New Campus Glasgow will deliver significant benefits to
Glasgow, its learners, employers, and its communities.
