The volume of current activity for students in need of additional support is significant. Drawing
from DPG18 (special Programmes) and Extended Learning Support activity this currently accounts
for 33,921 WSUMs. The range of support available is wide ranging and includes:

o Support for vulnerable adults, under 16s, looked after young people and care leavers
In some partner colleges existing services are delivered wholly from a Student/Learner Services
grouping and in others from more than one section or department. In all colleges the provision is 'joined
up' and focused on the learner.
