1.4 Immediate Emergencies and Categorisation/Incident Control
1.4.1 In terms of an immediate emergency alert, a Site Emergency Response Team
shall initially respond by the location of the emergency incident (if the Business
Continuity Team is not readily available). Site Emergency Response Teams'
membership and locations are outlined at Appendix 1A (p41).
1.4.2 A Site Emergency Response function will be set up, to provide incident
response to a physical crisis at the College, (e.g. a fire or flood) which threatens to
prevent the College from providing a service to students over a sustained period of
time. A scale of one to three will be used to categorise the emergency and the
response required (see 2.3 - 2.5 below). The Site Emergency Response Teams will
