• Identify all staff and students involved
• Clear and close areas where necessary
• Monitor progress of recovery with regular updates to members
of the Business Continuity Team
• Liaise with and support the emergency services
• Ensure effective and timely communications
• Provide accurate and regular updates throughout the incident
• Utilise external support - media consultants
• Maintain a regularly updated City of Glasgow College website
with "Open for Business" message, or information in the event
of closure
• Identify areas affected
• Identify alternative space within the College
• Identify alternative space outside the College
• Establish alternative space and relocate staff and equipment
• Maintain the College's IT Network and Management
Information Systems (Finance, Student Records, Payroll,
Personnel)
• Liaise with the College's insurers and loss adjusters
• Consider appointment of an independent loss adjuster to act
on behalf of the College
• Plan specialist recovery
• Plan repair works
• Plan re-establishment of normal operations
• Conserve, and take steps to prevent future damage
• Consider requirement for counselling services for students and
staff (existing provision in place)
