6.1.3 Students
Our students will benei t immediately from the synergies
delivered through merger. By bringing the constituent colleges
together we gain a more balanced student proi le with a more
equable balance between FE and HE provision and between
genders.
The college will provide a one-door approach to information,
guidance and support to give a well-informed application and
recruitment process. Bringing together three high-performing
colleges with world-class specialisms in key vocational areas,
of ers the students a map of well-articulated study pathways
that will take them quickly from i rst-steps to advanced,
industry-recognised qualii cations with subsequent entry to
degree courses within the college and beyond. The range
of disciplines available within one college will increase the
options for custom-designed, bespoke provision and for
l exibility and career change for those who are seeking to
widen their horizons.
The scale of operation will enable the college to negotiate
more direct progression pathways with Higher Educational
Institutions (HEI) and facilitate transition.
