Elements of integration
The integration process has a number of elements, some of which are organised on a cross-college basis.
The primary responsibility for integration falls to the line manager, to manage the process, and the individual,
to engage with the process. Other staff will be involved to help support this as required.
Elements and responsibilities include;
• Welcome email including link to Staff Integration Guide - to be sent by Organisational Development
• Staff Integration Guide and integration information within Staff Resource Centre - Organisational
Development to maintain; individual to access
• College Welcome - Organisational Development to arrange; individual to attend with support from their
line manager
• Mandatory training - provided by Organisational Development; individual to access with support from their
line manager
• Initial development activity - line manager to discuss with individual and arrange with Organisational
Development
• Probationary period - line manager to undertake with reference to Human Resources and the process
